I have a Bachelor Degree in Marketing from Florida Atlantic University and a Master in Occupational Studies (Business Education) from the University of Georgia. After several years in the business world, I decided the classroom was the place for me. I have been teaching since 1997 at the high school level.
I have been teaching at Islands High School in the Business Department since August 2014 and absolutely love my job! In addition to my teaching position, I am the main adviser for FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America) and am the supervisor of The Surf Shop--our school-based, student run enterprise. Outside of teaching, I enjoy woodworking, reading, sailing, and golf--high score wins--right?.
Several students have asked if that is me sailing. It is not. I used to have an 18-foot HobieCat like that when I lived in South Florida but mine had white sails and yellow hulls. I do miss it and hope to get back into sailing sometime in the future.
